The Chairman of the Board of IWB and Member of the World Water Council Mr. Rashad Shawa and The Member of the Board & Secretary General of IWB His Excellency Dr. Shaddad Attili attended the World Water Forum International Conference on water and in celebration of the World Water Day .
The conference attended by 10,000 participants from all over the world and was opened by H. E. The President of Senegal and attended by Presidents , Vice Presidents and Ministers of Water of several countries and by Chairman’s and Presidents and Executives of several Development Banks and Financial Institutions and Water Experts from around the world.
His Majesty The Emperor of Japan address the conference from Tokyo expressing his dedication passion and support to all efforts and initiatives made or to be done in the water sector for the prosperity and improving the livelihood of people around the Globe.
All participants were impressed by the IWB incorporation being the first bank in the world dedicated to finance the water sector globally and expressed their appreciation of this world class initiative that will play a major role in the development of the water sector worldwide. World Organizations , Funds and Institutions attending the conference expected their willingness to cooperate with IWB as they believe that such a bank was needed for the most important sector in our lives and as the back bone to sustainable development in the world.
